Benefits are a Purchase Trigger
Include Health Statements on all Display Signage
Georgia Pecans are more than just a sweet, crunchy
treat, they are also a health nut. A recent research study
revealed consumers are 75% more likely to purchase pecans
once they become aware of the nutritional and health
benefits.
So make sure you include these pecan health and
nutritional statements on all merchandising display
signage including header cards, shelf tags and/or posters.
- Provide essential nutrients like oleic acid, which
can help lower "bad" LDL cholesterol levels.
- Rich in vitamin E, thiamin, magnesium, and copper
- Good source of fiber
- A new Dietary Guideline report states you should eat
3 to 5 serving of nuts, seeds or legumes a day. “Pecans
are particularly good for you because they contain more
antioxidants than any other nut,” according to a recent
report published in the Journal of Agriculture and Food
Chemistry.
- Antioxidants are substances found in foods that
protect against cell damage and, studies have shown, can
help fight diseases like heart disease, Alzheimer’s,
Parkinson’s and cancer.
