Highlight Pecans from Georgia
on the Display

Georgia is known for being the “pecan capital” which dates back to 1871 when several pecan groves were planted in the state.

Today, Georgia is the largest producing state for pecans in the nation averaging 88 million pounds each year.

That’s enough to make 220 million pecan pies!

In a recent consumer research study, 41% of respondents surveyed stated that they would be “very likely” to purchase pecans from Georgia over pecans from other states.

Pecans are purchased primarily for usage in recipes especially during holidays. In addition, 36% of respondents purchase pecans based on “price on sale” with 23% percent of these respondents saying that they would pay more money per pound for Georgia pecans if they had to.

Since consumers respond positively to pecans grown in Georgia, highlight the state in all POS signage and header display cards.
